650 Seca parts for sale

I am parting out a crashed 1982 650 Seca. I am the original owner. The bike was always garage kept, well maintained, and ran well. During its life I had made a number of upgrades; Koni shocks, Supertrapp exhaust system, K&N air filter, seat professionally re-covered, aftermarket turn signals, engine guards, throttle lock. I rode the bike 32K miles until a crash about 10 years ago. I parked it in the garage with the intent of fixing it eventually, but since this hasn't happened yet I've decided to part it out to those of you who can use the parts to repair/finish your own rides (a Seca organ donor).

I have posted this to several XJ lists to give the XJ community first shot at these items. All parts on the bike will be available and pics of the actual part will be posted up on Photobucket under the user patio10 as I get a chance to process them. With the normal business of life this process probably realistically will take several months to get through everything, so please have patience with me. If you have interest in a particular part let me know so I can process and post that item sooner. Also if you would like to make an offer on something not yet posted please do so, and if you have a price in mind it may make the process go quicker.

I have taken my best guess as to a fair asking price on the parts I have for sale. As I do not actively buy/sell Seca parts on a regular basis I may be outside of the normal range. If there is something you are interested in but feel the price is out of range, please make an offer. Some items may initially seem high but take into account the condition and completeness of the item; again let me know as I'm open to offers; want to see these parts go to good use. Buyer to pay shipping cost.

Seat $75

Seat was professionally re-covered and was ridden a number of years and still looks very nice. There are no tears or rips. Includes all parts necessary to drop right on to your bike; brackets, rubber bumper, latches, hinge and pin.


Left and right side covers $65 for the pair

In very good condition, have no broken or cracked mounting pegs, ears, tabs.


Rear tail plasic piece (over rear and wrapping below seat) $20

As seen on the pictures there are some scratches on the back/left area of this piece; other then that this is a very good piece; nothing broken or cracked. Include the screws that screw into the seat pan.


Full factory exhaust system $375

Probably as perfect a set as you will find available anywhere. Exhaust system was removed from the bike when it had approx 1000 miles, was waxed and stored. No rust, dents, scrapes, nicks, scratches, scuffs, or heat discoloration. Brilliant shine. Four header pipes, collector, 2 tail pipes. Any unusual colors in the pictures are from reflections. My thought is that this is a rare piece in such good condition, so the pricing reflects this. However I may be off my rocker, so make offer if you think it really is not worth this.
