    Hi Guys,

I have recently bought a 1981 XJ750A, its a Japanese import model. (Looks like an XJ6504K0). Does anybody know the sizes of the taper roller steering bearings for my bike. Steering notchy in the centre, the old tell tale sign of worn bearings!

    Hi Guys,

Has anybody got a set of taper roller bearings ready to fit to an XJ6504K0? If so would you be able to tell me the brand and numbers off the races so I can match them up?

Really appreciate any help. Living in Ireland spares are not easy to find.

    Thanks.

I tried a coupla years ago to find those numbers and failed, it's a mysterious secret. Got mine online to suit the bike, plenty of suppliers around. Tried a few bearing supply places but any codes / numbers i could find didn't mean anything to them. Ebay no doubt.

    eg. http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Pyramid-Parts-St ... 5aef16eb16

    Thanks Bushy,

Ebay is fine but shipping to Ireland takes a week or two sometimes. There is a local bearing supplier who tells me he can get correct sizes from the numbers?

On line will have to do!

    Cheers,

Ok I got bearings from Pyramid parts off ebay, 10 days postage, not too bad.
I, like others could not find bearings locally based on the info I got from members here.

But the sizes on the bearings I got are.....top 25x48x15mm and lower, 30x48x15, if this helps anyone else. :)
