SOLVED!!!(?) Somewhat massive vibration under acceleration

    That's just because the one in my seca now is real tight and It's on my winter list
    I tried greaseing it but it didn't help much.

    I looked, and there was only a bit of rust with no detectable play. When I broke everything down it was in much worse shape than I could see with the boot pulled back. Goddamn dark garages. It's gotten worse as I've changed parts and rebuilt stuff and gone out to test it. That boot is impossible to see inside. When I pulled off the final drive on the swingarm, I saw a bunch of metal shavings. That's when I knew.

    I won't spend $260 + bucks for a new one from Len only because I can't afford it. I got an ebay one that looks tight (the seller SAID there was no play) for $20.

    I agree...why pay $260....when one can pay $20.....savings $240....makes sense to me....a lot of good parts come out of junkyards....

    Makes sense only if you dont mind taking a gamble and putting parts with an unknown history and service life in your bike
