Ok so for about a year and a half my LED flashers worked perfect with an electronic 3 pin relay. About a month ago my flashers quit working. I checked connections and everything was OK.

I am down to the conclusion that it is the relay. When I touch the brown and brown/white wires the signals light up. I can only assume that means everything else is OK, but I may be very wrong. This is what I found when I got to the relay:

The heat had caused the electrical tape to squeeze the plastic cover. Assuming that caused an internal issue, I have purchased a different flasher relay from an auto parts store. They didn't have the same one in stock. The signals still will not flash. What are the colors for the positive (+) negative (-) and lamp (L)?

I am trying to work with the relay on the left:

    What is the correct wiring?
Is there a possibility that this relay just isn't compatible?
    What else could be wrong?

Get a 2-pin flasher. The led flasher for a car Don't work on our bikes. The design of the relay is different.

you may have to eliminate the the use of the auto-cancel like had to. I bought an electronic flasher relay and had to run a new ground wire.

"Somewhere" ... (I looked, ... but will be damned if I could find it) ... there is a Thread with a Members INGENIOUS solution to retaining Auto-cancel using an Electronic Flasher.

    Without a Dummy Load.

    I cant find it.

On my 82' 550, I found that a flasher relay from a 79' Ford F150 matched the voltage and ohm requirements. I had to do a little wire modification as the pin-out location was different. Works great and I haven't had problems for about 3 years now. And my problems started where the turn signals were busted. I swapped out with set of 4 LED that I got on Ebay. Still had no working flashers. That is when I found out that my relay was bad. The Ford relay was less than $5.00 at my local parts store.
