Well, I've already pick out from the mess out wiring out the front of the bike, what plug corresponds to the headlight? Is the voltage/wattage output from the harness usable on an aftermarket headlight system?

The original set up had a headlight and foglight. It will take aftermarket. I need to dig up the schematics and am at work, I will look later tonight for the wires/ratings, unless someone beats me to it.

I'm swapping mine out too. 82 XJ750 Seca. My headlight wires are yellow, green, and black.

I hear ya, I have a 10 month old and being on daddy duty will take all your "spare time" to work on the bike. There are three bikes now on my driveway waiting for me to have some time to work on them. I checked float levels on one bike and they seem to be all over the place so carb work is on deck.

    Good luck.
