How do i put a cafe racer seat on xj650?

    So the initial plan was to bob the maxim, however, I really like riding in the canyons and I feel the cafe would be a ton more fun in the twisties. I'm very green and haven't modded anything yet. Just a lot of rebuilding of stock parts so far.

    Anyways, how would I get a cafe style seat on this bike? What have you guys done and how did you do it?

    this is how i did it. Cafe project
    The back part of the frame probably needs to be cut though, I did it and it was pretty easy. I did more of a tracker style seat to fit two, but the principle for mounting a different seat pan is the same.
