HELP, 82 XJ750 MAXIM Fork Seal Replacement

    2 Photos attached. One shows the stage ofdisassembly I am currently at, the other shows the bolt I cannot "rattle" out. Advice needed. I am replacing the fork seals and am stuck at this point.

    Now I'm struggling with getting the oil seals out. I'm letting them rest up right now for the next round of pulling and prying...

    Did you remove the circlip that holds the seals in? After they are removed you can pull on the upper fork legs (the same way that you would use a slide hammer) to remove the seals.

    The circlip is out, but these forks don't have the bushings that can "slide hammer", once you remove the damper bolt the inner leg slides right out past the seal.

    After a bit of pulling and prying, got them out and reassembly was a snap, nice new seals...
