    Hey guys,
I just rewired and assembled my bike, but I can't even get the starter to turn over.

I don't know where to start as far as trouble shooting. I changed all of the bar controls and painted the motor covers.

When I hit the starter button, all I see is the oil light turn on and no other indicators of anything.

    Any help is really appreciated.

If the "oil" lamp lights when you mash the starter button, it's trying to tell you that the sidestand is down and the bike is in gear. Or at least it "thinks" it is.

In other words, your "safety circuit" is deployed. The safety circuit includes:

    -Sidestand switch
    -Sidestand relay (if so equipped)
    -Neutral switch
    -Clutch switch
    -Safety cutoff relay.

    Plus all associated wiring/connectors.

The blue on the white wall rubbers is a protective film.. I'm not taking it off until her first ride.
