Choke Relocation

    My stock handlebar switches on my 82 Maxim are toast! They are the kind that has the choke lever on the left side. Has anyone who has replaced their handlebar switches found a way to relocate the choke? If so I would like to know how you did it. Thanks!

    It wouldn't be difficult to rig something at the carbs, lots of bikes are set up that way.

    I put all new handles/front forks/cables from an r1.barely reaches. you could get an automotive choke kit and zip tie it to the bars. I had bad luck with a choke control that wasn't near the handlebar. no fun in the mud puddles. good luck. Oh yeah wally world has cable kits for bicycles too for like 6 bucks, they still take some rigging but can be made to work for a temp fix.
