Hi, does anyone know how to make the horn button function as the starter button? The horn button is connected to two wires, whereas the starter has 4.
Because I would like to get rid of the bulky gas handle with integrated starter button and leave the left side only.

    Thanks!

Does your starter button really have 4 terminals? Sounds weird. There should be two for running power through the engine stop switch, and two for running power the starter button.
In which case, you can just run the starter button wires to the LH controls and solder them to the terminals of the horn, and vice versa for the horn button (also two wires) to the RH side.

Think about it. The right has 4 because you have the starter button (2) and a kill switch (2 more).

Nope, the wiring is as I wrote. Here you see:

Another member of the forum wrote a tiny bit about it before. Below is his reply on a PM I sent him. I'll give it a try and keep you informed!

Yea it's most likely possible, but you have to know a bit about switches. most likely the starter switch is DPST (double pole single throw) and the horn is SPST (single pole single throw) (both shown here: www.pci-pcmcia-express...4442_1.png).
If that's the case, it's theoretically possible to wire the 2 incoming wires to one lug and the 2 outgoing wires to the other lug, or wire your starter through the switch and splice the meter wires. but there could be other issues as well.... for example your headlight may not shut off when you try to start, which is harder on the battery, or your meter lights may not come on (bulb test)
