    That it would. Haha
The reason I was asking cause I just wanted to inspect it. I took the air filter out and saw a small narrow hole in the corner. Wasn't sure if it was supposed to be there or not.

I seem to remember one of bigfitz's previous posts talking about a small air filter at the bottom of the air box.I don't have any link, though, but i'm sure someone else will find it.

Found the post, it was about the Seca 550 airbox, there's a small filter in the air intake, at the bottom of the airbox.

Yours is a Maxim 550, tight?

When you say "small narrow hole" where is it exactly? It may be a drain.

The Maxim airbox doesn't have the "snorkel" that most 550 Secas' have.

I'd recommend you inspect the airbox in place. Removing it just for that isn't worth it.

yea... the easiest way to remove the airbox (whole) is to pull the engine..... +1 on not worth it just to look at it....

Thanks for the replies. Well not gonna take the air box... To much trouble for probably nothing.

Fitz the "small narrow hole" in the air box...
If you pull the air filter out then looking in the box it would be in the left corner. under where the filter would be.

But I think it looks to perfect of a hole to not have ment to be there.

    Thanks again everyone.
