XJ650 Maxim cafe cbr RR front end

    Hi all i have been lurking in the background sucking up all the knowledge here
    so now its time to share what i have been working on a budget cafe style bike
    started life as an 82 650 Maxim picked it up for $300 only 12000 miles but not running for three years sat under a tarp in a garden. 6 months later i have almost finished total cost $850 front end is from a 2004 CBR 600 RR
    so here it is hope you like it

    2 questions
    1-Is that a bread box filter or pods and does it run well?
    2-What did you have to do to get the front end to fit?

    Thanks everyone
    Front end conversion was quite simple used the xj bearings lower is a straight swap top had the inner opened up 1mm and had to trim 4 mm of the bottom of the head. There are not enough threads for the locking collar so I drilled the collar and used an Allen screw to lock it
    K&N dual pods runs ok but goes lean so i am going to jet the carbs
    Rear tire is 130/80/16 shinko SR741
    soon as i get time i will put together a build log with pics
