    I am about to start this process and I will take pics along the way.

    Bump on this mofugger. I need to do this on my 85 maxim soon, too. I get oil spattering on my tank from my right fork.

    I assume you have Haynes manual? I also believe there is forum information for the job. I did mine last year and it's not terribly complicated. Just don't marr aluminum.

    Hey, yours is going to be a bit different! their fork caps are held on with retaining rings, yours screw in. if those caps are rusted, it WILL be a bitch. get the 17mm(?) tool that len sells, and soak in kroil liberally. heat helps too.

    you DO NOT want to go through what I did by stripping those hex caps!

    on the bright side, you don't have the air assist and anti-dive to contend with :D
