New placement of Speedometer, wanted to keep the front clean. I haven't rode tested it yet but adequately visible from seat.

I rode it for the first time in over 2 years. Over the previous few months:

Split the cases and fixed a shifting problem (long story)
    Replaced the forks
    New brake pads and shoes
    Bled brake lines
    New allballs headset
Upgrade to needle bearings in the swing arm
    New shocks
    New chain
    New plugs
    New air filter
    Adjusted valves
    touched-up frame paint
Replaced fuel line, filter and valve
    Cleaned carbs
    Synced carbs - morgan cabtune
    Set mixture - colortune
    synced carbs again

    It was a great ride!

Inspired by DaveT174; polished my carbs with a Dremel which look a lot better with the new paint job. Look out the rest of the oxidised alloy!

wax on....wax off. Looks deep black in most lighting; but when the sun hits just right - POP goes the blue pearl. October 6th and still warm and sunny; off to ride

I installed new master cylinder while I slowly rebuild my stock one and installed new brake lines too. It was easier than the troubling posts ive read about how long they take to bleed. Maybe it was because of the different master cylinder, either way not a bad or time consuming job.

I did the final (temporary, I plan on a full re-paint next winter)) paint on the front fender, following the repair of a minor crack at the leading edge. I picked the fender up off of the bench to carry it over to the bike for re-instillation, and saw.........another crack along the trailing edge [IMG]

The PO had craftily hidden both cracks with body puddy, and hidden the puddy under some very nice paint.

Took it out of the garage and gave it a polish; getting it ready for the upcoming track day.

Bought a 31A replacement frame (yesterday evening)

If the rain stops I'll be stripping it into big chunks later, front end, back end etc & bringing the bits indoors so they can be stripped/cleaned/refurbished as required ready for the re-incarnation...

Thanks, pretty glad myself to have found a suitable frame. Of course I'd love to have a 29R one but we have to be realistic, when is that ever likely to happen? haha, shame the weather was rubbish today otherwise it'd all be stripped & waiting to go back together :)

How are you & your babies doing? Better than mine I hope!

I pulled my carbs and cleaned out the pilot screw holes and parts and cleaned up the fuel enrichment plungers and holes. I'm hoping to get a lower idle than 3500.

    Again.

I walked by mine with the cover on it wondering if a damp 40* was to cold walking by, would it be to cold to ride?

As long as there's no ice and snow on the roads, I'll ride. I have thermals that work wonderfully.
