Set the valves last weekend and now it's time to get those carbs "zestfully" clean.
I'll be pulling the carbs off the Seca and I'm looking for the good tutorials (hopefully pertaining to a YICS 750)..
My carbs are going to be completely disassembled and soaked in carb cleaner.
    Any help is appreciated.

FYI- if you are NOT planing to break the carb rack and replace all the fuel rail seals and associated items, it is not recommended that you soak the entire carb in carb cleaner. It will lead to leaking seals.

    Thanks to all...
It will be a complete breakdown (hopefully in the carburation sense, not the mental health sense).

    So far so good!
Carbs came off within 20 mins. (Bike is mostly dismantled)..

Got them completely stripped and #1 is beginning it's 24 hr. soak.
The only issue was the drain plug was completely buggered up.. had to break out the drill and EZ Out.
    No turning back from here.
    Thanks again for the tutorials...

You can soak them as long as you've removed the butterflies and throttle shafts and completely stripped them.

You are correct in that they should not be submerged if the throttle shafts/seals are still intact.

I should have parts arriving from Chacal today....I do have one question on the shaft seals...I seem to remember somewhere reading that the seals have a ribbed side and a smooth side...would make sense that the smooth side seals up against the carb body...Am I correct in this assumption?

Actually, I don't really think it matters. I did a writeup years ago on replacing the throttle shaft seals, and I didn't make note of which way they went on.

As far as I could tell the shaft seals Len sells can go in either way. Rather than being a true "V" seal like the factory ones these have more of a cross section similar to a tiny "I" beam, at least that's the best I can describe them. The aftermarket seals are much beefier that the factory ones also. I've replaced them in three racks and every one seals up fine.

Lippy side out if they're not symmetrical.
