    Not sure about new...

Keep an eye on ebay and craigslist. I found one (was for a different Yamaha model) right here in the F/S thread...just took some (very slight) creative engineering, but it fits fine.
Doesn't take much to get most Vetter set-ups to work...you'll have to live with the vetter hard bags...could be worse?!

Back when the bike was current, both Yamaha and a number of aftermarket companies made luggage racks for your bike.

Nowadays, there are still a few "one size fits all" racks available, but nobody (except maybe JC Whitney) will list one that claims to actually be for your bike.

Your best bet is to patiently troll eBay; and posted a "wanted" in the "Sale, Trade, Wanted" forum on this site. One will eventually come along if you're patient.

Hepco and Becker make a rack for the Seca 750. You could contact them to see if it would fit the Maxim. Be forewarned though, it lists for $480.00.

My preferred method for mounting luggage is to either modify an existing rack, or make one. It's a good way to introduce yourself to a new hobby; welding :)
