    Hello,

I want pull apart, clean and paint the controls on my XJ550.

Are there diagrams available for both assemblies? I have been searching and I have not found anything for the internals of the switch pods.

There are a bunch of screws, small plates, etc so I want to make sure I can them back together correctly.

    Thank you,
    Tim

Thank you for the guidance Polock.

Looking in the pods there are a number of stripped screws, empty holes, etc.

I'm pretty sure it is not right to begin with :)

Having an assembly diagram would be great to have to make sure they are right when I'm done.

If anyone has pics of correct right and left for a XJ550H Maxim, inside top and bottom of the clams that would be great.

    Thanks!

Both sides are cleaned, contacts polished and greased, connections resoldered where suspect, screws replaced, painted and reassembled and now everything works. I'm shocked.

Reproduction decals on the way so onto the headlight bucket wiring disaster.

    Thanks as always !
