My "Cafe" Xj650

    Hi everyone
    Thought id share my project bike with you guys.

    Done some modifications on it.

    -Changed to clip-ons, lowered the front about 2".
    -Fitted some harley rear shocks, lowered 2" rear.

    -Chopped rear fender, custom made seatpan

    -Changed front and rear blinkers
    -New double brake lines from MC
    -New headlight bracket
    -New Sidepanels
    -New Mufflers
    ++++

    The bike runs Ok, but its not a beauty.

    I wouldn't drill in to the frame for those rivets, that will promote rust.

    The mufflers are from Ebay, search: Universal mufflers. They are pretty loud.

    Lesson learned;) This is my first project bike, and i have learned a great deal.

    And NOT drill in to the fram is one of them.

    beauty eh. i hate license plates ! i screwed mine to the mud guard! the cops didn't find it as funny as i did. lol. pesky nitpickers. nice work

    Next time you take those side covers off, dab a bit of window/door silicone on them before you stick 'em back on. Should be a pretty good preventative rust measure. Nice looking ride!!

    Nice, I want to do something like this with mine. Any tips on chopping the rear fender and making those side panels?
