    Hello all I am fairly new to this site and would like to say pleased to meet you all. I am starting this thread as to inquire to some information. Lets begin this by saying I had a starter clutch failure that has required me to split the case; after the split I discovered that the failure for lack of a better way to describe was catastrophic. I am currently parting with certain things I don't necessarily need. Now most of these items I have a good idea of what the value is, but one item seems to elude me. I have a set of aftermarket Vance & Hines 4-1 pipes and as I still have the factory pipes I don't need them. They do have typical exhaust surface rust but are still in fairly good condition. I am just curious if anyone could tell me what the value of these pipes are and if anyone is interested I will be listing them on ebay in a week or so.

    You didn't mention what the system came off of ?, but I'll give you my .02 cents.

    The down pipes look good, but the #4 retaining flange is missing? The muffler has seen better days, it has a pretty good sized knock in a very obvious place and the outlet flange looks like someone got carried away with a large hammer. The surface rust is to be expected on a steel exhaust part, but the area towards the front of the muffler may be an issue because it looks like battery acid was dripping on it.

    I sometimes use the completed listings on E-Bay just to get a ballpark figure of what something is worth. Here's the link:

    Add you keywords, then choose completed listings, and hopefully get an idea to help you set an asking price.

    New V&H 4 into 1 systems are available from around $400+, but I wouldn't expect much more than a Hundred bucks or so for the one you have.

    Well damn, someone had informed me that Vance & Hines was no longer making the exhaust system for these bikes. Well I guess its a start, thankz for your help.

    Well they are probably right. I did see some listings for new systems that fit the FJ1100 and FJ1200 though.

    It is very helpful if you add the year and model of bike(s) that you have. That way we have a better idea on how to help when you post up something.

    What kind of bike did the V&H system come off of?
