Damn. It still has the goofy little (unobtainable) plastic air scoops.

Beat him down to $1200 and add it to your stable. It will need all the standard stuff. You wouldn't be sorry...

    Jump all over that deal.
Looks like a WHOLE 900 with a few Unobtainium accents.
Put Stainless Fasteners (Kits) on the Caase Covers and Carbs.
The Carbs are Big Mikuni's and a joy to Clean and Tune.

Although the ad didn't state much except "Starts right up" and Carbs Cleaned; it looks like no stranger to being washed, ... which is circumstantial evidence that it was well cared for.

I got mine as a no-starting, dirty sitter for $125.
I spent a year and a half going over the whole shebang.

    Rehab it.
When you get it on the hairy-edge of fine tuning you'll have a beast that loves to go fast.

You will love the way it pulls in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
85 miles per hour in fifth is where it loves to giddy-yap.
90 mph is easy on the Plant.
At 90, ... there's enough black left on the Tach to park an 18 wheeler.

Why are you such a cheapskate? Give the man his asking. It's pretty fair.

Flash 10 big ones at him, see if he'll take a Grand if he gets whiff of money

Of course, he may already be a member, or have the bike on the registry.......in which case he would probably politely refuse. Lol

All is not straight up with this bike. The aluminum hand rail at the back of the seat is missing which is very unusual. Keep in mind that these tanks are notorious for rusting out in the rear. Notice how it's lower than the petcock. Also check the fairing mounts for breakage. Other than that, this bike is a very well engineered machine. Get it performing right and you will love it!

meh.....the grab bar is easy to get. I have a bunch of them. The HARD part to get is the engine guards that are on there! I have loads of 900 parts, but NONE of those............
