Ardberg 10 (very flat for a beer, but the flavor makes up for the lack of bubbles)

If I had to only pick one it'd be the Lb. Hefe....but only having one beer would be like only getting to eat the same food at every meal.

    One beer?
    So many . . .
I recently had a Goose Island Bourbon Barrel Stout that was delicious.
New Glarus brewery has many great hoppy beers.

That being said, I prefer bourbon over beer.
Again - so many good ones. Eagle Rare, Whatlen's, Kentucky Vintage, Elijiah Craig . . . pretty much anything out of Bardstown Kentucky is a winner. But then again I am a card carrying "Distinguished Member" of the Bardstown Whiskey society. :D

What's real interesting is all the different kinds of beer you guys are talking about. Most of these, I've never heard of. Limited on choices around here.

Out of all the beers, I'd have to say YAMAHA Beer is the best!!

Just kidding. If I had to pic one right now, I'd pick Bud Light Platinum. High Alcohol, "lite" Beer.

For me, different situations call for different brews:

Goto bottle for a Saturday evening slide: Omegang Abbey Ale.

    Clean water for working: Yuengling

    Sumtn' Special: Corsendonk Abbey Brown

Scotch has got to be Oban 14 year.

At this very moment it is the bottle of cold Lagunitas India Pale Ale that I set down to type this. Having just solved a fuel leak and a vacuum leak on my XJ700, then practically flew into town, with my newly rebuilt front breaks performing admirably on the deer obstacle course, it's one of those beers you feel is well earned. Those always seem to taste the best. Damn it's good!
However, not to diminish the magnificence of this wonderful brew, or your suggestions above, if I were forced to choose the best beer EVER...
I would pick Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. It is their seasonal offering, it's just about to appear, it is spicy and robust. And it brings back some very fond memories. A toast to logging a few more. Gentlemen, I thank you for all the assistance you have provided, and a special nod to Len at XJ4ever, the parts man! As my bike is tucked into bed for the night, I'm gonna dedicate this next beer to you.

Gah. Can't stand the stuff. Tastes like ass, as far as I'm concerned. Did nasty things to my dearly departed father's liver.

That being said, I give you this:

    --------------------------------

How to Post to a Fark Beer Thread
    By Fluff Girl

Reprinted with permission from the Christian Science Monitor

So there you sit on a quiet Sunday, reviewing Fark threads, when up pops a familiar topic: beer. Specifically, the topic of best beers. Of course, some of the more elite Farkers are weighing in on their personal favorites, arguing the merits of the obscure sub-varieties that you have never heard of. You glance dejectedly at the half-empty tall-boy can of Busch Light, and realize that you don't even have enough class to use a coaster. Again, you glance longingly at the beer thread and wish to contribute. What to do?

The answer is alarmingly simple. First, you must emphatically state that all American beer is crap. You may not vary from this rule. It may seem odd that a bunch of monitor jockeys drink nothing but beer that costs ten dollars for a six pack, but don't question this. It's how things are done. Nobody knows why. When you take a guilty look at the cheap beer you are drinking, remember that your Adult Friend Finder profile lists your body type as "athletic." It's kind of the same principle. C'mon. It's the internet.

Then, remember that Google is your friend. You can find the most obscure beer ever, one that is crafted one bottle at a time by a rare sect of hairless trappost monks who are afflicted with both albinism and cryptorchidism, for instance. You may then proclaim that your favorite brew is "Bald Belgian White One-Ball Pale Ale." No one will call you out, because they are busily researching their own favorite beer that is located nowhere near them and they can't afford to drink.

Top off your post with a witty and well-rehearsed bon mot, something along the lines of "I like my beer like I like my women, blonde and yeasty."

Using these simple pointers, you too can become a seasoned beer snob and post with confidence.

    ------------------------

As if it's necessary to further tie Fark.com and beer together, there's this place called Stone Brewery (makers of Arrogant Bastard Ale (you're not worthy!) among others) who recently partnered with Drew Curtis (owner of Fark) and Wil Wheaton to create their very own W00tStout.

lol schmuck, that's kinda what I thought when I saw some of the brew names on here!

I don't touch the stuff anymore, used to drink way too much snakebite (50-50 Cider/strong lager & lethal) & the brew of choice was usually Carlsberg Export.

Still crave a beer now & again but the only brew I touch comes white with 3 sugars :)
