Bit of modding, but they fit well. I had to cut and weld modify the bracket, the Seca is spread wider, also had to whoop off the bottom mounting screws for it to fit in Oh, and got a bit of wiring to sort out.

I got some new bars also (Enduro2) Similar height and width, just half the amount of pull back.

Yeh Glenn, a temp gauge. Going to cross that bridge when i come to it. pretty much got 90% of wiring done in my head., just need a chance to sit down and nut it all out properly.

Got any tips? What are you thinking?

    Assuming you mean oil temp?
Sadly enough I never even thought of that.
I was thinking fuel gauge after all you've got the sender in the tank might as well use it.
Or in my case because I don't know crap about electrics I'd whack a watch in it.
    Nice looking Instrument cluster.
On the oil temp, I had GSX1100 EFE back in 86? and Suzuki got so many panicked customer calls because the temp was so high that they discontinued it on later models.
I did freak a little at the temps but it was new and under warranty at the time so didn't bother about it to much.
So bear that in mind if the temp runs a little higher than expected.

Hey you know, your right! The red defuser is oil, so good enough id say. Changing it to a fuel gauge is just a matter of making sure the resistances match ( or varying them the same) so alls good for a fuel gauge. Thats cool, thanks! Cant believe i didnt think of that.

I would like to know however, what temperature the oil hits when the light comes on? Safe working temp. Yeh, the red line is rather, well, highish.

I don't know anything about the 'X' but I assume that red oil light is an oil LEVEL light.

In an earlier post we discussed the X temp gauge and the resistance needed for various needle positions:
    http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=4 ... art=0.html

You may find my resistance measurements of the X temp sender helpful if you are to use the X temp gauge to measure your fuel level or oil temp:

Also, the red "Oil Light" is for the oil level, not the temperature.

So the oil light is just a switch, thats good, I should have known.

Mechanical fuel senders are just like a hand controller for slot cars and basically just go from 0 to max. Ive got know idea whats in my Seca so time will tell.

    Thanks for that link xhack.
