I ran into the guy I bought my 82 mxm 750 off of and he has an 1100 engine to give me.Now I dont know whats all on this engine but if its got good compression would it fit into the 750 frame? I dont know what it has on it still like carbs exaust or if its just a block. If its not worth trying what would be usefull for my 750? shims? starter? electrical ? stuff like that and the alternator?(i cant remember the right name for it) really just anything i can use.

It's not a direct cross-over like the 650/750/900s are, the 1100s (XS and XJ) are in a "family" of their own. The "power unit" is significantly different, both dimensionally and how it mounts.

Check it for compression. Make a stand from scrap. See if it'll run. If it's a runner....sell it and use the "free to you" cash on your 750.

picked up the 1100 but wasnt told the heads been off since who knows when soo its not much good.the cylenders are full of rust but the heads there side coveres look nice could be awsome with a polish.there are a few covers missing on the trans no carb(s) but the looks of the angle of the intake boots there was only 1 carb.
