    Hi guys,

I'm just finishing of my resto on a 1980 XJ650 down here in Australia, and I have just notice that in the control decal kit that I got from Len. It is missing two decals which I'm thinking that maybe Oceania model specific. On the left control there is a decal that says "PASS" and on the right hand control there is a decal that says " LIGHTS ON/ PO / OFF". Can anyone confirm this? And are those extra decals available?

    Cheers

I don't know about "Oceana specific" but I can tell you for sure they're NOT "USA Market" we didn't have the luxury of turning our headlights off. (So we wouldn't have the "flash to pass" button either.)

    Just ask Len.

yes, looks like the aus, and euro models are much the same.
i had my decals made up at a local sign shop, then fitted and clearcoated over them.

That looks similar Bensalf, was the euro bike factory with yellow writing on the decal or was that just a crazy option you went with? :)

Bensalf, your switches are laid out a whole heap differently too. I have take pics of mine, but I'm struggling to up load due to the size of the image.

Sanglasmick, the PASS is exactly what I need, but the headlights off / on switch in Australia has PO on it for park lights on it aswell. But that is pretty dam close.

the yellow was just my choice , i did the switch knobs and had the decals made.
the parking lights on the euro model are done on the "p" position on the ignition switch, which also locks the steering.
the "p" position on the handlebar switch is for side lights, which is daft enough ,the same as park

have a look at the "hello from holland" thread in the general lounge forum,
