It's the second day of winter and at least the days will now slowly start to get longer (daylight that is, the day itself is still 24 hours, or more precisely 23 hours 56 minutes and 4.1 seconds  ).

This is what I see outside right now.

Not that I'm wishing my life away but spring can't get here soon enough. :?

    I want to ride dammit!

Now that I'm done ranting about the weather I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! :D

    I feel you Brad.
I went into the garage to get the snowblower this morning and there she sits, beckoning. I touched her and felt a tingle. . .

Waiting for an about 40 degree weekend to get the carbs off and start the adventure.

We HAD snow, maybe like 4" then it rained for two days straight but the temp never went above 33F while it was raining... Then it got cold again so now everything is all crunchy and slippery but the grass is peeking through and in the city it's all gray and nasty lava-looking crud already.

I have some "summer" pics trapped in the camera I'll try to get them posted up.

This is no fun even from a "winter wonderland" perspective. Just rude.

Similar situation just one state south of you, here in Ohio. The sunshine was deceiving today as I was let out of work early & contemplated firing up the 550 this afternoon. Looked up the weather forecast which indicated the 'real-feel' temperature was 16 degrees F. Even WITH my motorcycle suit (its really handy & comfortable) I decided not to ride. My chin would've still froze with the air blowing up my full face helmet.

Kilted, at least we didn't get that much snow.

Fitz, the grey, lava looking stuff is crap. At least I find the nice white snowscape somewhat pretty to look at. Although I still prefer green (money and vegetation :) ).

LVSteve, I don't want to hear it. :D

At 7 AM on Sunday, it was 59. Windy and rainy. At 7 AM this morning, it was 27 with 4 inches of snow on the ground. The forecast is calling for another 3 to 5 inches. Gottta love lake effect snow.
Christmas Eve 1980, we had a snow storm. Received 36 inches in 24 hours. I guess today ain't so bad.

I was actually just there. It was still FREEZING, in Vegas. The 60 number is really deceiving because we had our jackets and coats on in the hotel room... The wind chill is killer out here.

That's because a lot of places there aren't equipped with heating systems...

I know how you feel. It looks similiar here except all the trees are coated in about an inch of ice. It looks really cool, but there are loads of people without power. Very thankful we never lost power, it's too cold for that. Merry christmas all! Spring will come!
