    More posts will promote you.

Hey, I'm on a kick to pin down peoples locations. Could you maybe add city and state to your USA location?

I don't mean to be rude. I'll add city/state etc after after this site touches my comfort zone. For now I'm just taking a peak. ;)

No problem - but just peaking means biker wannabe. Ironic isn't it?

I'll just welcome you to our little corner of the world Jim. Our ranking system is based upon the volume of your posting on this site. The more posts, the higher your ranking. Everyone goes through the ranks, kind of an initiation or rite of passage. Have patients, you'll rip through the ranks in due time. Don't think of it as an demeaning label in the least, it is a rough gauge of activity here in the XJ world. As for posting your particulars, you give out only what you are comfortable with. You'll get to know the crew in time, I think you'll enjoy them. I hope you find your time here well spent.

Thank you Robert. I'm just clicking and looking around. Read the FAQ.
All is well. Hope to contribute some time. I've been on two wheels since my Dad bought me an XL 70 and lent me his Maxim. See you in the forums!

Looks like you fixed your first problem yourself!!
I was recently a wannabe & a gear grinder, too, but gettin' friendly with the folks here will soon enough advance you up the ranks.

    What are you riding, JimBronson?

You can make up a signature to auto add to your messages that will show that info

I'm a gear grinder alright! Kind of like earning merit badges I'm riding an 82 Seca. It needs lots of work; cosmetic, tuning and paint. Lots of wire nuts on the wire harness. It doesn't run nearly as good as my Dads Maxim. When I'm done with it I'm sure I'll be able to at least keep up.
Pops is purchasing the XJCD for me, I hear it's put together very well.
As soon as I figure out how to add the signature I will do so. This forum is new to me and I'm still figuring out how to navigate.
    Thanks for the encouragement!......Jim
