Looking for new mufflers for my 650, found some on ebay with minimal rust, but they are off a 550. Will they fit?

I don't think so. The 550s use a collector box system, and I believe the "output" spigots on the collector box are considerably smaller than where your mufflers go on. The mounting brackets wouldn't line up with the footpegs either, which matters not if they won't even go on the pipes.

On the same note, does anybody know offhand what the outlet spigot dimension is on a 650?

If it's a Maxim, it probably doesn't have a collector box or "outlet spigots." The original mufflers on the 650 Maxims were a part of the outside exhaust pipe/crossover stub assembly. To replace them, you have to cut them off, leaving enough pipe to slip the new mufflers onto.

A 650 Seca, however, has a collector box system and the mufflers simply bolt on.

If it's a Seca, I can go out in the garage and measure for you but it's too cold to hassle with that right now. If it's a Max, I can't help.

The 650 seca and the 550 seca collector boxes qare quite different even though the overall design is the same. They won't interchange. I have tried.
