Hi guys, this is mainly for the UK members. I've found this Website, Yambits while trying to find some parts and a Shim removing tool. Any of you have any experience with this particular site? Any feedback would be appreciated. They seem to stock alot of the more difficult things to source as well.

I haven't dealt with them, but CMM's features usually are only given to businesses that have a good reputation for honesty. http://yambits.co.uk/press.php
That is the actual magazine article. I have the issue in my stack of "keepers."

yes, i've delt with them. visited their store up at boroughbridge, which is not far from me ,50 miles or so.
its an industrial unit, but dont expect them to stock anything thats not on the website.
got all my valve shims , clutch leaver, and quite a few other bits from them.
    courteus and reasonable prices.
    no prob.

prices look great if your in the uk. not so much for us "across the ponders". but still a good resource if a part can't be had anywhere else.

Excellent, I was going to get a shim tool of them, but it's only £2 more from Chacal, including shipping to the UK, so I'd rather my business (for this at least) going to Chac. Bigger things I'll probably order from Yambits due to shipping costs. Thanks for the feedback Ben, wanted to check their service didn't suck :)

I've bought a few bit off them. Found them very helpful.

I bought jets and shims for my XJ. Prices OK. Shipping fast.

So far all the feed back is good, which great news since parts seem to be quite hard to come by for us UK peeps. :)

I can vouch for Yambits as being spot-on as Andy says. I have had a few bits and pieces from them in the last six months or so and they arrived promptly.

I sure am glad we have the American equivalent to yambits in chacal. that guy epitomizes the term "customer service". which is something that is lacking in this day and age.

Yambits doesn't really compare to Chacal, he has parts that Yambits have never heard of

Yambits have all the usual stuff and a few of the rarer parts but their list is nowhere near as comprehensive as Chacal's and you don't get the advice or experience to go with it

If only the shipping costs between the USA and UK weren't so high

    EDIT:
    [OOPS!
No i didn't! It was bitzforbikes in the UK that I dealt with.

So yeah... looks like I am hijacking but they were really good to deal with.(bitzforbikes that is).]

I bought some bits from them over here in Australia, when our dollar was a bit kinder.
There was a rip in the package and something must have fallen out. I let them know but not to worry since it was only a low value thingemie but they said no problem and just sent me another one without even a slight grumble.

    Good place to be sure.
