So my buddy who knows how to weld says the current exhaust is too rusted out to repair, so looks like I'm in the market for a new exhaust for the 82 650 Seca if I don't want to keep riding around town essentially with open pipes.

Seems my choices are limited to mac 4-1 systems, and then it's a canister vs megaphone style.

What do you think looks best on this bike?

Other options? I would prefer a 4-2 system...

    What exactly is rusted out?

The 650 Seca has a "collector box" system, which means it's essentially modular; the head pipes, collector box and mufflers are all separate parts that unbolt from each other and can be replaced separately.

The bike came with the stock exhaust already swapped out so the header and collector box are one. It's rusted out where the 2 meet.

The PO actually welded a sort of skid plate on the bottom which collected water...not too bright.

Too bad, as I like the look of the stock units.

Except that is not s stock unit you're showing. That is and aftermarket 4/1 setup there. Too bad you're so far away....I just pulled the same part off of my 650 rj as I am putting original stuff back on. Mine is near new, too. If you have some one in the US, that it could be shipped there, but I'm not going to ship international. If you want to talk, then send me a pm.
