Hello my name is Robert, just got an 85 xj700. P.O. said it was his daily rider and just out the shop from a carb clean and sync, never been dropped yada yada yada. All lies already got my carb rebuild on order from chacal, great service and prices BTW. I am in Nwa with all the nice twisties and beautiful views. Anyone around here wants to go for a ride on a nice day give me a yell. Anyone with a colortune, I have beer, lots of beer. Everyone else Hi. I have already found many guides to help me clean and syncs these carbs and are looking for more on how to do it without a colortune. Thanks to everyone for putting all this information together and I will try not to ask to many questions that have already been awnsered.

Welcome, Robert. Ask all the questions you like. We don't mind as long as you're serious about doing the work properly. There are some great folks here, like Bigfitz52 and Rickcomatic, who REALLY know XJs inside and out. Listen to them and all will be right with the world.
Don't forget about safety items like brakes, brake lines, master cylinder, calipers and tires.
Also, put what bike you have in your signature. When you ask a question, everybody will know what they're dealing with. Sometimes a problem can be model specific.
