Later today I will be putting 122.5 main fuels in my xj650rj that I was recommended by a drag bike builder to run with velocity stacks and open exhaust. I will let everyone know how it turns out and maybe solve the misery and mystery of the vs stacks and pipe mods

Just wondering how he arrived at 122.5 ??

Did you read thru these ??

    success stories

    advise and debate

I would have suggested 116 - 118, depending on how "open" the pipes are.

Don't forget the needle and pilot jets.

I don't know why anyone would run open velocity stacks on a street bike, honestly. Seems rather engine-life limiting.
