Can I use 600 cylinders on a 550 bottom end with a 550 head?

I have to find new cylinders to bore for my big bore kit. I figure why not get a few extra cc's out of it if possible. Any issues doing this?

Just get a FZ,FJ or YX 600 motor like I did and be done with it. The 600 cylinder sleeve may not fit the 550 case without boring the 550 case.

What size piston are you going to?

Why not bore the 550 Barrels to suit?

Not an easy find where I'm at. I already have a good Seca 550 bottom end and a ported head with Yosh cams.

    60mm

I already have barrels that have been over bore to 60mm. They don't look the best. I would like to have stock barrels to bore for my new 60mm pistons.

    I won't take the chance. I'll find a 550 cylinder.

I'll take them if you've got them.

Got my new pistons yesterday. :D

They're from Wiseco. I sent them my old Wiseco piston, and they made me new ones. They use a more modern ring design since the old style rings are not available in 60mm.

What was the charge and how many were you required to buy?

Same as we talked about. Al is a good guy to work with. They have a print now, so they could do you some in 61mm for your 600.
