I would like to remove the black plastic trim rings around the top of my guages.....How do I get them off without removing the whole unit?

I think you do it by removing the whole unit

I'm not sure, but I'm taking my guages off here pretty quick. The trip knob screws out, and I there's a couple of screws in the back of the gauges themselves--inside the pods--that I would imagine would free up the trim. Again, have never done it, so I'm just guessing.

I just bought some chrome paint. My pods are a little rough around the edges and was thinking of giving them a blast, but I'm not sure if this paint shines up at all. I forgot to get some clear coat. I was thinking that a couple coats of the clear and some buffing might give it a shine. But I don't know. I just thought the paint might come in handy for something.

    Hey DMorey,

Here's a pic that shows how they go together.
