Well I finally took the time to add a GPS to my bike. I took a look at a few pictures and videos and I was able to mount it without buying anything. This is a pretty sweet little cheap mod that you can do in less than 30 minutes and you won't have to worry about having your phone becoming loose and bouncing down the highway. The items that I used was my old GPS, a 12v cigarette outlet for power, and a few zip ties. I wired the 12v outlet off the battery, ran the power wore for the gps down the frame and zip tied it out of the way by the hand bars. I then drilled a few holes in my gps mount and tied that to the bars as tight as I could get it. Plugged everything in and bam works like a charm and it looks very clean.

if the GPS has a round plug, your ok. but if it's a USB, the car adaptor by itself can run down a bike battery in a month.
found that out the hard way

I thought that might happen so I hooked up my volt meter and when the GPS was plugged in and charging with the bike off the voltage dropped .1 and when the GPS was unplugged it showed less than .01v drop so I think it will be ok.
