Hey guys, just got the bike back together. I had the tank painted and the petcock was removed. The gasket looked pretty shady but I figured I'd put it back on and see what happens. Well, it's leaking bad. Does anyone know if I can get just that gasket. The petcock is working fine. I see I can get a fuel shut off valve for $45 from xj4ever but I'd rather just buy the gasket since the petcock is functioning.
On the plus side the bike fired right up the first time and is running great, other than a gas leak!
    Thanks

I believe most petcock rebuild kits come with the gasket for the base.

The one I just bought did anyways.

Off topic, my wife sure looked at me funny when I told her I was going to the hardware store for some silicone lubricant for my leaky petcock.

Has anyone switched to the fuel valve that xj4ever sells? I'm thinking that might not be a bad idea since it would be a new part. The petroosters on there are really expensive and the fuel valve is like 45 bucks. May go that route.
