I didnt find anything similar when I searched and I think this might help some people. I have been working on a rack of carbs (hitachi HSC32) and wanted to replace the screws.

I found a company called Southwest MRO on amazon. With the perfect socket cap screws, grade 8.8 zinc plated.

Stainless steel fasteners and aluminum don't get along, this is according to the galvanic index.

Also this is only like 10 bucks plus shipping and covers the carb caps, float bowls, and the screws for the two rails that hold the rack together.

when I say perfect i mean this is what should have come on these carbs from the factory. I measured and verified the originals myself and have received the replacements, they are ideal for the application.

When I did mine, I bought stainless from McMaster.

Would you like to buy a set? I've got extras.

Interesting cause all the fasteners in the carbs and engine are stainless from the factory.

    But are plated.

and are you sure they are stainless? quite certain they are yellow cad plated steel.

if only i could find some cadmium plated socket cap screws, then id really be in business.

junkmn, if you have all stainless screws, someone other than yamaha put them there.
Max, there are no such things as stainless plated screws, there's chrome plated, nickel plated, cadmium, zinc.......
