I've been making my seat tail using the original pan most of the foam and an old Honda rebel gas tank

The lines are all wrong with the OEM gas tank. It takes more than a set of clubman bars and a homemade tail section to make a cafe racer.
However, if you were intending to replace the tank, then its a step in the right direction.

I kinda like the OEM tank myself but to each his own
I flipped the bars over can't stand them that low so now I guess the rider position would be more like that of a street tracker[IMG][/img]

Yes the maxim tanks are better suited for a bobber. Actually I think they are one of the best ones out there for the bobber look. As for a cafe I would maybe try to find a seca tank or something like that. Something that has a flatter look and not that teardrop look to it. Well good luck with it.

I'm starting to agree with you guys about the tank!
But after deciding not to use the café fairing and mocking it up again after the paint oh and flipping the bars over it still look OK as a more street tracker type style but it is what it is for now till I get more money[IMG][/img][IMG][/img]
