How much does your XJ750 dive?

    Under normal braking and hard braking. It seems mine dives a couple inches under normal braking and up to about 4 inches under hard braking. Is this about the norm?

    yep that's about right with original springs and no air.
    bottomed out or very close to it. i changed to progressive springs and still thought it was soft so i made longer spacers and it seems much better now.
    are yours seca or maxim forks?

    The last time I saw a bike dropped into a large body of water, it dove straight to the bottom. :wink:

    you can try making spacers 1 to 1.5 inches longer than whats in it now.
    that might work for you but face it, those springs are 30 years old and sacked out. really should get new springs.

    gunbunny, that bike sunk because he didn't have enough air in the forks :)
