I would think full synthetic would have more protection, so I used it an I'm not sure if it's related but now I'm hearing loud marble jingle when trying to start the engine an it doesn't engage everytime so it takes more attempts. Could the oil have anything to do with it. I'm not sure if those parts(other than starter itself)are in the oil or not. I don't completely know my way around a bike engine yet.

Synthetic designed for cars or bikes? If it's for cars, get rid of it. You can't use car oil in a bike with a wet clutch. If it's bike oil, it's probably still too slippery, I use part synthetic in all my bikes (barring the little 2t).

    It's Valvoline 20-50 for bikes.

Is it for wet-clutch bikes? Most synthetics are not suitable for wet clutch motorcycles of unitized construction (gearbox and engine share the oil). Any car oil with a energy conserving rating will also cause trouble, even if it isn't a synthetic. Fitz may chime in with his recommendation for a wet-clutch compatable synthetic (and add the info to my thread if you would be so kind).

The rattling is being caused by your starter clutch trying to engage a now overly-slippery surface. Check the link in my signature about selecting oil.
