Hi, I am hoping someone can help me out with a picture.
Picked up an 81 xj750 SECA. The ignition switch is missing. The po spliced in a temp switch. The connectors are cut off.
I just purchased another switch from ebay. its the two connector, five wire one.
There are no connectors on the bike so I dont know how to wire it.
Does somebody have access to their switch that could send me a piture that will show the color of wires goinig into the ignition switch connectors?
It would be appreciated. This is my sons bike and Im trying to help/teach him.

Thank you for the reply and the nice color schematic.
I think I can work with this.
The new (used) switch I purchased is the correct one. The po cut off the connectors from the bike that the new switch plugs into. I havent had a chance to look and see if the wires on the switch are color matched to the ones they connect to on the bike harness.
I'll let you know how it goes.
This site is a great resource.

    Update:
When I installed the ignition switch, I found the two wire connectors stuffed inside the headlamp bezel where they should be. The po wired from there to the switch location so I was thinking the connectors were cut off. Long story short it was plug and play.
    Thank you for the help.
