Missing Bolts

    Can anybody give me any information on two bolts I'm missing? I missing the bolt on each side that is pointed at by the yellow arrow in the attached picture. What length and diameter bolt is this? Thanks.

    That's what I plan on doing, Polock, but the guys on here are so smart that I figured somebody would know the size off the top of their head so I wouldn't have to guess. I'm just trying to tap into the resources available to me.

    M10-1.0 X 25

    You will need a flange bolt, or use a washer on a regular bolt, and be careful tightening it down. You can/will break the tab off if you get it to tight.

    Be aware that most comercially-available bolts will have a larger head.

    ghost beat me to it. Just figured out 10mm, but can't get to the store to confirm until later.

    Although, mine is a bolt and washer, and that's what I just found listed on Chacal's page also. But he adds a lock washer - sound advice.

    Ghost, I am not sure that something would break there. I have removed and replaced it several times, and the grab bar part is half inch thick, and the frame part is still pretty stout. Plus they seat flush together, so nothing is pulled or flexed.

    Any misalignment from frame flex will stress the mounting tab on the grab bar. It is only cast alloy, and easily snapped off. I have seen it happen on a neighbors bike. Thats how we figured out the rear frame horns were knocked out of alignment from a prior wreck. Barely noticeable until the grab bar was attached. Had to use a washer behind the grab bar to keep from stressing the tab.
