I recently bought a 1983 yamaha xj750. What I need to know is the order in which the top air jets Go. I have 4 80s and 4 225s. Currently I have one of each in each oc the four bowls. However, it burns through gas. If I switch them, it idles too high and I turn the idle screw and it does nothing. Anyone know the order they go in? Thanks

the 225's go closest to the idle mixture screw and enrichment plunger

So, the 225s go together? The idle screw is beside carb 2/3. Meaning the outside carbs, 1 and 4 take all the 80s?

idle MIXTURE screw, one per carb.
with the carbs on the bike, the 225's go closest to the engine. 1- 225 and 1- 80 per carb.
