Hi everyone, I just upgraded my coils two weeks ago and I thought I would share my brief experience. All they needed was a small extension for mounting and the wires from the stock coils but otherwise a nice fit!
The two biggest improvements are that the bike starts up like immediately now and I no longer receive a shock if I touch the wires lol. I used to have to prime the carbs, full choke, modulate the throttle a bit and lean a bit to long on the starter. Now I just choke it and hit the button and it "sparks" right to life ;)
One other thing I have noticed, even though I would consider this engine smooth already, it's just a touch more smooth on the highway than even before! Any questions?

Did you go with the 3 ohm green coils? Does anyone have any thoughts or comments on the mini 3 ohm dyna coils?

I used the mini coils actually. I have pictures to post but it says I'm over my limit for pictures here...

I recently put a Dyna mini coil on my SRX tho the original coil was in spec it didn't make a strong spark. On that bike not plug and play but done in an hour. A definite improvement, even if a bit pricey shipped US to Aus.

Thanks for the info! Either set up will be an improvement over the stock coils. I was wondering about the size difference, not a lot of space under the tank. Do you still need to use adapter brackets with the mini's or do they fit with the original mounts?
