    hi all
ill start by stating that im pretty n00b when it comes to electrics.
i took gamurus minimum wiring diagram and made it look more like the manuals diagrams. i guess its easier to add things later.

can some of our electrics gurus check my diagram whether it seems to work or not?
are the wires going where they are supposed to go?

i have an acewell 2853 gauge on the way and im thinking of adding it although legally i wouldnt need a speedo.

i will add blinkers with it also (legally i wouldnt need them either) since it has those nice little indicator warning lights. other warning lights too. im going to need some help on wiring the neutral switch and the oil level switch, just for the warning light purposes, i dont want to use the cut-off relay? or the diode block? is that ok? or how it needs to be done?

    heres my drawing:

Me total noob so no help from me just q's. Why's there a wire directly from ur main switch to the rear light? Having a second look and it seems to me that the main switch will only turn on the rear light?
You might want a second brake switch?

The main switch has three wires:

Red: power in from the main fuse
Blue: power out to the tailight
Brown: power out supply to the other three fusebox circuits

    Good use of colors though!

Venlis, you might want to change the color of the third line coming from the main switch. I think that Chacal was only seeing two lines. The third one is very hard to see...I noticed it only because there appeared to be some 'breaks' in the lines coming off the starter switch..then I noticed that was a third wire coming from the main....

I see only one brake switch, so ur only running one brake?
The brown wire Chacal mentioned to power the rest of the system from the main switch seems to be missing, hence my confussion.

*EDIT* Mad_Bohemian just pointed out the brown wire while I was typing.lol now it makes sense.

now i get the confusion.. haha

indeed there are three wires coming to/from the main switch.

and its true there is only one brake switch for the front brake, i will be using two brakes but i havent decided if i will go with a rear switch also. i do most of my braking with the front anyway. the switch is easy to add..

what i wanted to ask in my op that is the diagram ok for now? i plan to add stuff later on. i havent received my damn gauge yet.

ill try to colour my wires more visible, also theres a few black dots missing on the ground wires too...

This diagram and several other posts have gotten me to the stage that everything works accept the switch. That is, I seem to be able to have permanent power (even when I turn the key off) or none at all.

I'm sure it's simple but I can't for life of me work out which wire from the XJ900 wiring harness is the wire that should attach the "main" of my acewell digital speedo - unfortunately, my bike was in pieces from the start, so I haven't got an existing speedo to start with, however the wiring harness appears complete.

    Any guidance gang?
