So I guess that did not work. I copied and paste an ad for a 750 seca with only 7000 miles on it. beautiful bike. I'm terrible on a computer!

I sent the owner a text asking what type and where he sourced his fairing. Anybody recognize or have personal experience with that fairing? That looks sharp!

    Wowzas.

If you look closely, you'll see that it does NOT still have the original brake lines. Somebody who knew at least a little bit about what they were doing has had their hands on that bike. (I'd still check the valve clearances first thing though.)

I'm betting it's actually worth what he's asking.

Ok, heard back from the owner and the fairing was custom made for the PO by Memphis Shades...it is a "one-off" jobby and no others were made. I visited their website and see similar styles but not the one in the CL ad. I saved photos of this bike to reference in the event I want Memphis Shades to recreate one just for me...

Thanks tskaz for reposting that. If I wasn't saving my money for a west trip I would be at his door. I'm about 8 hrs from him.

It's a 750 Seca. They had the rectangular light setup for all three model years. And that is the correct color scheme for an '81.

Well, I could not resist, I called the guy last night and bought the bike. The history of the bike is quite something. The man is 69 yrs. old and was a professional motorcycle racer in the 60's. His friend, also a racer owned the bike for 31 yrs. It has been maintained in a climate controlled building, gas regularly changed out, rode some, all new complete front brakes built and I forget what else he done to keep it up to par. He said his friend was a fanatic on keeping his bikes up. The owner said he owned a motorcycle dealership in the 70's and owns 8 bikes now. He was interesting to talk to and talked motorcycles for an hour.
I'm picking it up sat. I'd like to see what else he has going on. This might be a find of a lifetime. He said if I don't like it for some reason don't buy it.
My wife likes it and said buy it or I will ! :D
