    HI All

    Following teh seizure issue described below I pulled the bores and thought they looked Ok however on one I am left with some permanent 'roughness' where some water obviously sat for a while. It's not deep but 320 grit isn't really getting it out and I don't want to go overboard and make the bore oval.

    Would you run 'as is' and accept that there might be a compression issue on that pot. here's the pic..[​IMG]

    If they don't look good and smooth, with nice cross- hatching, they're not good enough to use, imho

    I was always taught as a quick check that if you can catch the edge of a scratch with your thumbnail, it is too deep and needs to be rebored.

    in fairness the picture makes it look bad but it shouldn't be too big a problem to get
    another set - I hope...
