I have an idea.....just need a taker who has an 1982 XJ750J Maxim.....or someone with a bike that has a 5G2-10 timing plate....

I have a questionable Ignitor box.....TID14-06 5G2-10......I would to send it to someone who can plug it into their known good running bike....to see if it fires off & runs their bike....that way at least my Ignitor can be tested whether it is good or not....

Any takers.....??? I will pay shipping & insurance on the return......

I used a timing light to test mine. Just remove the left side crankshaft cover and hook the timing light up to cylinder 1's plug wire.

I have a video I posted a while back if you would like to see the advance curve. I can also recheck the oem spec, it hits max advance at something like 3500 rpm.
