Anyone know where one could buy suitable replacements for needles on the speedo and tach? I have searched most everywhere on line and cant find anything.

Currently not available. You'll have to repair yours or make something

I get that they aren't available from Yamaha, but someone might know a suitable replacement.

Maybe you could make one out of a painted toothpick...worth a try.

Check out a bike junkyard or ebay or even the FS section here for the gauges you've got..not that difficult to swap them out...just be real real careful. Fitz did a write up on cleaning out your speedo...there's a section painting the needle...I think he took his off, so just follow his lead...

Had a user on here who said he swiped some from a Ford wagon at a junkyard.

    Just a thought.

Fitz's write-up on needle repair was very helpful. I was able to reattach my speedo needle and also put 2 well placed drops of machine oil on the tach needle pivots to make that work again as well. It was just sticky and after a few days, it worked great.
