Homemade Clip Ons

    As some of you know I have been working on a maxim650 cafe racer. You can see the build thread here: http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=4 ... art=0.html
    I knew that I wanted to get clip on handlebars for the bike but I found out that a good pair would set me back about $150; it wasn't too big of a deal but I would have to wait a bit to get them. I recently got a nice mig welder from a friend and I have been finding any excuse to use it. As I was taking the forks off of my maxim 750 parts bike I was like " Hey, look at these cast iron clamps on this lower tripple tree!" And that is how I got this idea.

    Nice work... check out dime city cycles for rear sets and other café goodies. Cant wait to see it when it's done. Keep us posted.
