need Speedometer for xj750 1985 maxim

    hi just wondering if someone knows where i can get a speedometer for my 1985 Yamaha xj750 . mine works and everything but the little screw came out inside the glass and it don't seem to come apart to replace it and its all twisted.

    Behind the headlight, and below the upper triple tree, are two nuts that hold the instrument cluster to the tripple tree. Inside the headlight are the wires that need to be unpluged to remove the gauge cluster. On the back of the cluster housing are screws that allow the rear cover to be removed, revealing the nuts to remove the mounting bracket, and the case screws that allow the face of the gauge housing to be removed. One inside you an put the screw back in place. Lube the speedometer while you are in there.

    I don't see any screws to remove the front glass on the speedometer. I removed it from the bike again because i though i missed something and maybe i still am. i have a few pictures but not sure how to post them
